My birth experience

I thought I would share my birth experience for anyone who wants to read about it. I definitely say induction is the way to go with everything so in control and peaceful! Justin and I sent Tim with my mom on Wednesday night and because we had a free night we went to dinner and then I went to Walmart and watched American Idol. On Thursday morning after a restless sleep, we went to Davis Hospital at 7:30 AM and they had so many inductions show up at the same time we had to wait in the downstairs waiting room for half an hour first. Then we checked in, the doctor came in and broke my water at 8:00 AM and I went on pitocin a half hour later.

The contractions started at 8:50 and did not get bad for a few hours and when they did I got the epidural and I was so relaxed. Justin and I watched The Incredibles while waiting and then it was time to push. I only pushed 3 times and the baby was out....less than 10 minutes! She was born at 1:48 so I was only having labor contractions for 5 hours. I did have a little episiotomy but overall I feel like things went well. What an easy labor and delivery!!

I'm glad it was so easy for you. . . I did not enjoy pitocin the one time I had it. . . of course, I also didn't have an epidural yet, so that's probably why! :)

That is so good! My first delivery went GREAT just like yours, my second wasn't as glamorous the epidural made me extremely sick, and it didn't work all the way. But I am glad things went to so smoothly for you.

I am so glad that this time around was such a breeze! I know Timmy's was a bit painful (the afterwards part). She is so dreamy! I could like a girl. :) I love her name! If/When we have a girl, her name will be Kate. Anyways...glad that things are going well and that both baby/mom is happy and healthy! :)
