Thoughts.....

So, I am vacation with my sister-in-law Liesl in San Diego and this trip has been great but right now I am feeling down. My poor kids have had a very rough week and have not been easy for my sister-in-law to take care of. Timmy has refused to eat most of the food she has made, had issues going to the bathroom and Allison is throwing up today. Then I read an article about this couple that abused and ultimately murdered a 4 year old boy and my heart just feels so sad! Especially since I have a 4 year old boy that I can't imagine doing anything bad to and love so, so much!

I miss my kids, I miss my husband who has been gone for 14 days and won't be back for a few more. This trip has been nice, but I am ready to go home and have my family all back together again.

Oh, Janelle! I feel bad, you're kid haven't been difficult. Kids gets sick, kids take time to adjust to being in someone else's house doing someone's else's routine-it's nothing I haven't dealt with my own kids doing/having. They've been great overall! Yesterday I did cereal for breakfast, peanut butter and jelly for lunch, and pasta for dinner and Timmy ate EVERYTHING-AND he was in a great mood last night and so far today. No worries-we've enjoyed having them here and we're glad we could watch them so you could have a little break! I'm sure you're excited to have your whole family together again though!!

As a side note-that story about the little Layton boy just BROKE MY HEART!! I can't believe how horrible they were to that little boy and I will NEVER understand how people could do that to a child-to anyone really. Sigh!

You are so sweet Andrea! It was just one of those moments where everything seemed to weigh down on me. I felt bad that Allison was throwing up, it's been hard with Justin gone for so long and being on vacation myself seems to make me miss him more!

I'm glad that Timmy has improved for you and that hopefully Allison in on the upswing! I really appreciate you watching them, even if it involved some hard moments.
