I am taking this week off from healthy living! Too much stress with watching extra kids all week. I am at least exercising every day :) Oh well, there's always next week to do better!

Friday Morning Weigh-In
This week was better. I weighed in this morning at 139.8. Finally, under 140 without doing my crazy yeast free diet! This week had its ups and downs. I ate really, really bad on Saturday. I went to a R.S. breakfast and had some breakfast casserole and a muffin and juice. Then for lunch I ate at the Salt Lake Council of Women luncheon catered by a hotel and had dessert, yum! Then I went with my mom and sister to a movie and had movie popcorn with butter. (I never get butter on my popcorn but my mom ordered it.) Then we went out to eat with some friends at an Italian restaurant, and then got ice cream at Nielsen's Frozen Custard. Wow, I thought I was going to explode!
On Sunday I didn't eat really well, but I ate in moderation and then the rest of the week I did pretty good! I have decided to lose weight a little more slowly and eat a little more. I think I'll survive this eating plan a little longer. Thanks for all of the encouragement and compliments, it makes this whole eating better/exercising thing worth it!
Oh, and on Monday, I didn't get takeout for our anniversary of getting engaged dinner. My in-laws invited us over for dinner and FHE because my brother-in-law was in town from PA.

Happy Birthday Princess Allison
Well, Allison is now 2! We had a great day on Sunday celebrating her birthday. She woke up to streamers flowing down in front of her door and came out to see her presents. She got a Graco baby doll set that included a stroller, pack-n-play, swing, high chair, and car seat. She loves it! She also got some bubbles, a puzzle, a princess book, a Rosie train, a camera, and a big pink ball.
We had cocoa puffs for breakfast (or as my kids call it, chocolate breakfast) and then got ready for church. She wore her new pink dress to church and then we came home and she had a nap. Then we had my side of the family over for a gourmet dinner of corn dogs, mac-n-cheese, salad, cake and ice cream. She got a beautiful dress from her grandpa, a little sleeping beauty doll set, nail polish and a fruit snack from grandma, and a mickey mouse puzzle and book from Uncle Jer and Aunt Andrea. All in all, it was a fabulous day and she had a great time! Here are some pictures:

Well, here it is.....
I weighed in this morning at 140.8. This is up 0.6 pounds from last week, but as I mentioned in my last post, it's okay. I am actually pleased to just be in the 140's again since I haven't see that since my last weigh-in. I did not eat well all weekend and it's been a struggle to just get back to the 140's. What can I say, I LOVE food!

I'm starting.....
to lose motivation! I feel hungry a lot and that is partly due to the fact that I'm eating too much on the weekends, gaining weight, and then trying to lose it all plus more during the week! Ahhhh, maybe I'll have to slow down the weight loss a little so that I can feel a little more normal. I'm pretty sure by tomorrow I'll have gained weight and not lost. Oh well, 2 steps forward, 1 step back!
This weekend is going to be hard too! Friday night is game night with chocolate, and Saturday I'll be eating out all 3 meals! In the morning is the R.S. breakfast, then a hotel catered lunch for the SLCW, then we are going out with some friends for dinner at an Italian restaurant. Then Sunday is Allie's birthday which means birthday cereal, corn dogs, mac n cheese and cake and ice cream. Just don't eat some of that you may say, but I love all of those except maybe cake and ice cream. They are just okay. Then on Monday I was planning to get takeout to celebrate my 7 year anniversary from getting engaged! I wanted to go to Tio's for dinner since that's where we went 7 years ago, but that just won't happen so I was going to order Mexican takeout. Ahhh, how will I ever succeed now!!! I guess smaller portions, but still, that's hard!!
One more reason that I've lost motivation is that I'm at the weight I like to be. In the low 140's makes me feel good and I like how I look. I want to lose a little more to have some wiggle room because if I gain 5 pounds right now, I feel like my face looks fat, lol!
I really should just make a weight loss blog so that it doesn't take over my regular life blog.

Middle of the Night
So, here it is at 3 AM and I am blogging. The reason you may ask? Allison has decided to wake up in the middle of the night and demand that she come out for two nights now. Last night I obliged and held her in my arms on the couch until she fell asleep and now that it happened again, I am not giving in. Hence, she keeps occasionally crying and pounding on her door and I just have to wait until she falls asleep. Then I can go in, pick up that sleepy girl and put her back in her bed so that I can sleep in peace! I hope you're all having a better night's rest than me :)

Friday Morning Weigh-In
This week was a good one! I weighed in this morning at 140.2 which is down 2.2 pounds from last week. I allowed myself to eat bad on Sunday but then Monday through Thursday I exercised every day and ate really healthy. I also ate fewer calories (between 1400-1500 a day) and it paid off, woo hoo! This system is really working for me. I must say I am definitely past the point in my life where I can eat anything and not gain weight. If I eat badly one day, the scale will definitely show it the next day. Ahhh metabolism, I heard you started to go down when I got older but it is sad to see it as reality!
I just discovered something really cool this morning. It is a recipe analyzer and allows you to enter the foods in a recipe and how many servings and then will give you the calorie count etc, totally cool! There have been many times I have no idea how many calories I am eating for dinner because I make my own family recipes which don't have calories per serving associated with them!

Happy Birthday Justin!
Justin is such a great guy! I'm so glad I married him and I'm pretty sure he had a nice birthday! We started off the morning by opening presents. He got some work shirts and jeans from me and then the kids gave him a nice water bottle each for hiking. Then he went to work and we went to lunch at Carl's Jr, his favorite fast food place. Then for dinner we had his favorite, chicken cordon bleu, rice, broccoli and cheese sauce. His parents then joined us for cake and ice cream. Then unfortunately, he had to do homework the rest of the night!
Happy Birthday Justin, I love you!!
Allison couldn't wait and dug in early, the stinker!

Friday Morning Weigh-In
This morning I weighed in at 142.4 which is only a 0.4 lb weight loss. This week was tough and I started to lose momentum and motivation. Several things went into this week being tough.
There was Super Bowl Sunday, and then on Tuesday I went to Park City and had a big Mrs. Fields cookie and ate out at Taco Bell. On Wednesday it was Justin's birthday and we ate out lunch at Carl's Jr and he brought me some yummy cake from work. Then we had a yummy chicken cordon bleu dinner with more cake and ice cream! Then on Thursday I went to book swap and had a scone and some peanut m&m's. Overall, not a very healthy week, but I still want to eat well and I'm still exercising every day. Here's to a better week next week! Good luck to me with Valentine's this weekend....

Friday Morning Weigh-in
This morning I weighed in at 142.8 which is down 1.2 pounds from last Friday :) For this post, I am going to share what I am doing each day and week to eat well and exercise just so I document it for myself.
Each morning I have cereal for breakfast, typically Honey & Oat Blenders. I have a double serving (1.5 cups) and 3/4 cup skim milk which equals 308 calories. I measure every morning! This will usually tide me over until lunch. If not I eat some fruit (50-100 calories) or a 100 calorie granola bar.
For lunch I have Progresso light soups and eat the whole can which is typically 120-160 calories. Then I have bread and butter with it or fruit. I also eat salmon (100 calories) with a cup of broccoli (35 calories) and a cup of cauliflower (28 calories). I also like Sam's Club frozen Parmesan coated Tilapia which is 230 calories with some veggies or fruit. I also love eating wheat penne noodles with a little cheese and spaghetti sauce. My lunch typically runs me 300-500 calories. Then I usually have some wiggle room for a snack in the afternoon. I usually eat cereal, granola bars, fruit or popcorn for a snack. My goal is to be right around 1,000 calories going into dinner so that I can have a larger dinner of 600-700 calories. I try to stay between 1600 and 1700 calories each day.
For dinner, I just make any of my regular dinners and try not to overeat. This is definitely my biggest meal and I really enjoy having one meal where I am totally full! I usually don't count calories because I don't know the calories of all my dinners but I figure if I leave myself 700 calories and eat at home, I probably won't go over!
If I ever want to have a treat, I just save some calories for a treat and have a smaller calorie dinner like fish, brown rice and veggies. Or I have a smaller calorie lunch and eat a treat to finish up my calories to 1,000 before dinner :)
This probably sounds exhausting but it really isn't! Once you get used to it, it's easy and I am definitely losing weight and eating better! I never want to get diabetes and I never want to have heart disease and so along with losing weight, I want to put healthy things into my body to take care of it!
I also exercise M-F with a 20 minute interval workout and usually add an additional 10 minute workout of aerobics, kick-boxing or the treadmill to get to 30 min's a day. I needed an incentive to exercise 5 times a week and Justin knows I love going out on dates. He told me if I did then he would take me out for sure every other week. Sounds good to me!
Lastly, I do leave one day a week to not count calories and just eat whatever I want! This week it will be Sunday for the superbowl, next week it will be Valentine's Day etc. While exercising and eating well can be hard, I feel like I'm succeeding because I CAN have treats if I budget them in!!
