My sister-in-law has decided to post on her blog her weight loss goals and do a weekly weigh-in, and while I've been doing this kind of on and off with my brother and sister, I have decided to really get in gear and start it up again. I had a goal of losing 10 or more pounds with my siblings and I made it to 3 pounds (150 to 147), but this time I am really going to do it. It is more about losing weight, it is about putting healthy food into my body and exercising so that I will please the Lord and treat my body well.
I will be the first to admit that I can eat a lot of sweets and therefore having them in my home is a temptation! I am therefore going to try really hard to keep sweets away except for on special occasions so that I do not binge on them. I started last week again with eating well and exercising at 147 pounds and today I weighed in at 145.5. That is great because I did not eat well yesterday being Mother's Day and all. My sister-in-law likes to weigh in on Monday morning so that she does not have an excuse to eat bad on the weekends, but I think I will weigh in on Friday mornings so I have some wiggle room. If anyone wants to join me like I joined my sis-in-law, let me know!

Yay-thanks for joining my weight loss program! :) I'm proud of you, losing 2 lbs even over a holiday weekend! Way to go. . . I gained 2 lbs this week. :( It's okay, I'll do better this week.

Yay! Count me in! I will do it, too. But I don't have any time to exercise yet so I will try and eat really well. Thanks for keeping me motivated! Love you!

I've been trying to lose weight too. I have lost 35 lbs in the last 3ish months! Ok, so I had a baby, but still I am proud. As far as keeping treats out of the house, Richard and I finally said treats can't come out of the grocery budget, they have to come out of our own money. It has helped me to decide if I really want something. I may buy myself one small thing each week, but then it is gone and no temptation the rest of the week.
Yay for supporters! I am sure we are all going to do better if we go in this together! Today I couldn't stand it and I ate a half a candy bar (I split it with Tim) but it wasn't a big one, so only 75 calories but still a treat!
