Diet update

Justin and I were talking yesterday and I was feeling very down and started to cry because this diet is so hard and everywhere I look people are eating food that I can't. We both decided that if I do not see any improvement in 6 weeks then I will just be done. Most websites say that improvement will be right away but then they need to keep going on the diet for 3-6 weeks to really lessen a yeast overgrowth and then slowly reintroduce foods to see if their symptoms come back. This is of course for those struggling with a GI candida problem which I don't have. Since I never feel anything different than normal because I do not have a GI problem, then I figure by 6 weeks if I have not seen an improvement then I will be done. Going for an extra 2 weeks will not really magically make it go away if I have not seen anything happen in the first 6 weeks.

Anyway, that's the latest. I hope what I just wrote made sense!

Nell, you are my hero. I have expressed many times how I could never do this and you are doing it! I hope you see results. I know when I work with patients and they want to quit it is when they keep going that they really see results. I hope it will be the same for you. Keep going when it is hard and hopefully you'll get the results.

Hang in there! It gets hard for me as well. We all have our trials and I would take weight issues over anything severe.

By the way, we didn't know how to take care of our baseboard mold problems- our solution was to yank the wood baseboard and replace it with tile. I HATE mold!

I'm sorry you're struggling with the diet, I think you are so strong to have even been able to do it this long-seriously, you are amazing. I have been praying for you while you've been on this diet and I hope you feel our love and support while you're going through this. :) I hope you do see results before the 6 weeks. . . good luck and hang in there.
